I’m Dr. Susan Liebell. I am a PhD in political science and public law, an expert writing specialist, and experienced pre-law advisor. I’ve taught at the University of Chicago, Northwestern, Rutgers, Haverford, and Saint Joseph’s University — winning awards for my teaching, mentoring, and advising. I regularly visit law schools, connect with law school admissions counselors, and monitor the latest changes in the law school admissions process. I’ve been helping students with law school applications for 15 years as a professor and faculty pre-law advisor and I look forward to bringing that experience and personal touch to your law school application.

While earning my PhD at the University of Chicago, I took courses and seminars at the University of Chicago Law School. I write books and articles on law and politics, regularly appear on TV to do political and legal analysis, and host a podcast. My engaged and student-centered teaching has been featured in The Washington Post and I bring that student-centered approach to helping you create an impressive, sincere, and successful personal statement.

I work with people of all ages and backgrounds — those who have personal struggles and others who feel privileged. As an expert writing specialist, I love making the personal statement experience easier for you. We all have a story but it can be hard to identify it — and tell it most effectively. You might think you have nothing to talk about, but I will work with you to identify what is unique and impressive. What you take for granted may be exactly what law schools want to hear about!

My clients find me to be approachable and helpful — but also someone who offers straight talk and challenges them to do their best work. I bring my expertise with the law school admissions process AND getting people to do their best work to your law school application — from the personal and diversity statements to the addendums that explain challenges you’ve faced.

Christine Falcone

I’m Christine Falcone, LPC, an expert career counselor, specialist in internships, and experienced pre-law advisor. I am person-focused, structured, and flexible.  These key descriptors indicate what you can expect when working with me as you build your law school applications.

The law school application process is daunting and can feel stressful, but it doesn’t have to be that way!  For the past ten years, I have been working with students and professionals of all ages to support their professional goals.  As a licensed counselor and an experienced career counselor and pre-law advisor, I bring a unique lens and perspective into the relationships I build with clients.  I meet clients where they are.  Whether it is  talking through whether or not law school is the end goal, or clarifying values to determine the ultimate school list, I am here to listen, guide, support, and sometimes push you to move forward. I love setting goals, putting together timelines, and working through processes and I bring that passion into my daily work.  I provide resources, tools, and accountability to those who I work with all while understanding that flexibility and the ability to adapt is an important part of the process.

When you work with me, I understand that the law school process is just one thing, of many, that you are focused on and I am here to help make that process as smooth as possible, while understanding that your other experiences will impact progress. Cura personalis is an important component of Jesuit education and it means “care for the whole person.” My Jesuit education and experience working in higher education has had a great impact on my style and the process I work with clients through.

I approach each of OUR conversations with the assumption that — after completing our time together — you have not only landed an acceptance to law school but that you feel certainty and enthusiasm about your next professional steps. After working with me, clients report feeling more confident, clear, and excited about their process and their ability to meet their goals
